Sullivan Construction & Earth moving was established in Taranaki in 2020 by David Sullivan,
Formally from Whanganui David moved to Taranaki with his family in 2011 from a construction back round looking at starting into Civil Construction within Taranaki.
Starting as a civil labourer in 2011 Dave learnt from the bottom from digging potholes to drainage and machine operating being hand on. By 2013 Dave had made it to a Site forman while still operating on site running the day to day logistics on sites, one of these being the Pukekura Park play ground in New Plymouth, from the clearing of the entire site to the over seeing of concrete pours and installation of play ground equipment while making sure a safe site was kept at all times being in the eye of the public.
In 2016 David was offered a site supervisors role with another civil construction company again adding to his experience within the industry with David heavily involved in big council projects within Taranaki from Drainage, roading to major earthworks projects.
While still with the same company David then moved up to project manager with full involvment and managment of Subdivisions and drainage jobs with one in Whanganui and another Retaining wall one in Wellington.
With a wealth of knowledge gained from the practical on site experience, machine operating to the tendering and financial side and dealing with clients and Councils Dave decided after the Covid 19 outbreak in 202 that he would venture out on his own using his experience to build and establish a sucessful business his sons could be a part of one day.
